Hi Nick

When posting over the last few days I keep getting the following message:

Error: You are currently banned from posting due to possible spamming!
After 228 second(s) your ban will automatically be lifted!

Any thoughts?  Thanks, John

You are moving too fast. Smiley Chill, relax and post with more pauses.

I'll check but last time I reviewed it I thought the anti spam setting reasonable. Perhaps they are a bit tight.

Hi Nick

I had real problems posting the photos message  over the weekend - certainly not rushed!

Ditto problem with my reply re Crazy Horse - had to give up this morning

Current settings are a posting speed of 90 seconds between posts, 2 breaches results in a posting ban of 360 seconds.

Open to suggestions.

Do you think those settings are ok then? I was thinking they might be a bit harsh.

We have had problems in the past with spammers but these days they seem to be data harvesters instead.

I was just wondering if you thought you might want to post mpore often than once every ninety seconds. It has never stopped me I must admit but it knows I'm admin, it might not count.

Nick - I hadn't tried to post more than once & certainly not within 90 seconds. As you know I contribute to discussion points when appropriate & my pattern of use is unchanged so as I said maybe a glitch. I recollect going from Preview to Post caused one spam announcement.
