Running rigging
09.05.2018 at 17:01:04

I'm part of a new syndicate which has taken on a 1979 Trapper 500.
All the halyards, sheets etc are of considerable age and have been left out at the mercy of the Scottish weather for maybe 3 years.
Is there a handy description anywhere specifying sizes and lengths etc so that I can plan replacements?
Thanks
Norman

The best bet is to buy a large reel of light cordage and use these to act as mouse's for every rope on the runing rigging. You will then be able to accurately measure all ropes for replacement.  Don't forget to allow extra for splices.
