Whale pump info please
13.05.2018 at 19:16:08

My 1979 Trapper 500 has had it's handraulic cockpit bulkhead whale pump nicked while standing ashore in a Hebridean marina.
Can anyone please advise what the original brand and model was, or suggest a replacement.

The boat is currently standing ashore being made ready for launching asap.
It would be very much appreciated if anyone visiting their own Trapper 500 could please take note of the information on the cockpit pump and advise.

The pump on my Trapper 500 is a Whale Chimp Mk 1.
It is mounted with the side of the cockpit locker sandwiched between the front of the pump (handle) and the pump body behind. When looking for a replacement I discovered that pumps are mounted differently these days and need a smaller hole in the mounting panel.

Thanks for that Graham, I'll do a search for one.
