Genoa furling gear
22.06.2018 at 20:14:11

Evening folks, I am getting fed up of single handing with my hanked on genoas and I’m going to be upgrading to a furling system at the end of this season and wanted to know what systems other owners were using and can recommend?

Thanks

I fitted a Harken ESP a couple of years ago and its a great piece of kit!
In hindsight though, a plastimo would probably have done the job just as well at half the price . . . .

Interesting, I was under the impression the plastimo rollers were a “get what you pay for” set up and wouldn’t stand the test of time. Is this not the case?

Star Trapper has a Rotostay. I believe no longer available but has stood the test of time. Single handing without would be a real pain!
